Content and Merchandising Marketing manager – 5 days in office (flexibility for 1 day at home) – Competitive Salary circa £35k - £40k dependant on experience

About the Role:
Position Overview
The Content and Merchandising Manager will be responsible for developing, managing, and optimising the performance of B2C ecommerce websites. You will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of creative and content for retail campaigns, drive product conversions through effective merchandising, and collaborate closely with marketing, trading, and optimisation teams.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, creative content marketer with ecommerce experience and a passion for technology.
Key Responsibilities
30% of the role: Planning, Delivery, and Reporting
Manage website content, including banners and landing pages.
Plan and organise the website and campaign calendars.
Develop briefs for content and campaigns based on input from product and commercial teams.
Ensure timely delivery of promotions and campaigns.
Report on progress, content performance, and sales trends on a regular basis.
40% of the role: Content Creation
Produce written content that drives product conversions (product pages, promotions, SEO).
Develop content that enhances organic traffic and brand visibility.
Manage content and product execs, ensuring deadlines are met.
Support video production initiatives.
Collaborate with creative, development, product, and CRO teams.
25% of the role: Merchandising and Site Improvements
Manage on-site merchandising through the CMS, optimising listings and campaign content.
Work with the CRO manager to improve attach rates.
Analyse site performance using GA and other platforms, applying insights to optimise user journeys and conversions.
5% of the role: Supplier Contact and Revenue Extraction
Collaborate with the trading team on rate card management.
Work with the marketing team to develop content that unlocks supplier funding.
Measure and report on the success of supplier activities.
Experience Required
Proven experience in B2C ecommerce.
Skilled in writing compelling copy for retail, with a focus on tech or a keen interest in technology.
Strong mix of project management, creativity, and numeracy, with experience in merchandising and content optimisation.
Previous management experience with the desire to grow and lead a team.
