Our reputable Timber specialist client is expanding their Internal Sales team in Halifax, and they’re looking for a driven and personable individual to join their growing business. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who excels at building relationships, thrives in a team environment, and is looking for long-term career progression.

Main Responsibilities of the Internal Sales Executive:

* Sell a wide range of timber products, including hardwoods, softwoods, sheet materials, cladding, decking, fencing, sleepers, insulation, hardware, and tools.

* Build and maintain relationships with a variety of customers, including contractors, housebuilders, developers, timber merchants, builders merchants, joinery manufacturers, shopfitters, and timber building manufacturers.

* Handle inbound sales enquiries via phone and email, providing prompt and professional responses.

* Process orders and proactively make cold calls to generate new business opportunities.

* Follow up on leads and enquiries in a timely manner, ensuring excellent customer service and high conversion rates.

* Create and send quotes, ensuring all details are accurate and aligned with customer needs.

* Provide ongoing support to clients and contribute to building lasting customer relationships.

* Collaborate with the branch and wider sales team to meet company objectives and deliver results.

Experience and Skills Required:

* Previous experience in selling timber and timber-related products.

* A solid working knowledge of timber and its applications in construction and related industries.

* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

* Confident and professional telephone manner, with strong communication skills.

* Ability to work well in a team and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.

* Proficient in IT and PC applications, with the ability to adapt to new systems.
