Learning Mentor - Liverpool

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for your next challenge? Or do you have a background in working with vulnerable children and are looking to transition into a school setting? If so, Tradewind Recruitment has the role for you!

We are currently working with a Primary School in Mossley Hill, who are looking to appoint a Learning Mentor on a long term and full-time basis.

Job responsibilities:

Delivering coaching, mentoring and support to individuals and groups of pupils within the primary phase.
Deliver high quality support for SEND pupils in-class, under the direction of the class teacher, for pupils to make good progress in their learning.
To provide one to one support as directed by SENCO.
To research, plan and deliver 1-to-1 mentoring/support sessions with identified vulnerable and disadvantaged pupils on a range of subjects that may be hindering individual learning
To research, plan and deliver group sessions/workshops with identified vulnerable and disadvantaged pupils on a range of subjects that may be a barrier to their learning
Provide learning support within a group and on an individual basis.
To contribute to learners EHCPs
To be aware of individual learner's risk assessments and needs
Keep records associated with the support role.Person specification:

Experience working within a primary school setting.
Relevant teaching or childcare qualification (desirable).
Qualification or experience in counselling and/or mentoring (desirable).
Fosters an open fair and equitable culture with pupils.How to Apply
