Research Technician

Job Purpose: To manage the day-to-day operations of the R&D laboratory, including reagent/consumable stock, microbial culturing, and Health & Safety. Additionally, contribute to ongoing R&D projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain reagent/consumable stock levels.
Conduct routine microbial culturing.
Ensure the laboratory remains organised, clean, and safe.
Monitor and enforce Health & Safety procedures.
Actively participate in R&D projects, including conducting experiments.
Contribute to team meetings and discussions.Qualifications and Experience:

BSc/MSc in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related field with laboratory experience.
Strong background in molecular biology and/or microbiology.
Proficiency in aseptic techniques.
Experience or familiarity with DNA amplification methods (e.g., PCR).
Ability to work to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Key Skills and Competencies:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
