Smart Manufacturing Solutions are currently recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Technician on behalf of one of our clients based in Stockton On Tees. You will be working as part of a small maintenance team responsible for the day to day maintenance of the plant and machinery onsite including preventative maintenance, attending breakdowns and service and repair work.

Responsibilities

* Work alongside external contractors during the completion of routine servicing and repairs.

* Fault diagnosis and instigate repairs

* Perform preventive maintenance duties on a range of equipment including overhead cranes, CNC machines and shot blasts

* Work alongside section team leaders to identify concerns and rectify machine problems.

* Assist with the safe decommissioning of old plant/equipment and the safe installation/commissioning of new.

* Maintain working areas in accordance with 5S

* Use appropriate safety equipment and techniques to adhere to company procedures.

* Mentor Department trainees / apprentices

Requirements

* Apprenticeship or Mechanically qualified - City and Guilds or equivalent level 3

* HNC ( Preferred but not essential)

* MEWP Licence ( Preferred but will be provided)

* Proactive attitude

* Previous experience working with Hydraulic systems

* Previous experience working with Pneumatic Systems

* Previous experience working with Overhead Cranes

Working Hours

Dayshift - Monday to Thursday 06:00 to 14:15, Friday 06:00 to12:45

Backshift - Monday to Thursday 14:15 to 22:30, Friday 12:45 to 19:30
