Electrical Maintenance Technician – Renewable Energy Plant

Are you a time served Electrical Maintenance Technician with experience in a heavy industrial environment? We are looking for an electrical maintenance technician to join a renewable energy plant in the Taunton area. The role involves carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical and some control equipment to ensure plant reliability and efficiency.

Responsibilities

* Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of plant machinery

* Diagnose and repair electrical plant – motors, drives, switchgear, PLC equipment etc

* Minimise plant downtime by responding swiftly to faults

* Maintain accurate service records and adhere to health and safety standards

* Assist in continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency

Requirements

* An electrical apprenticeship along with relevant qualifications e.g. NVQ level 3, City & Guilds, ONC etc.

* Previous experience as a maintenance technician or engineer in a heavy industrial plant e.g. power plant, manufacturing, FMCG, paper mill etc

* Competent in fault finding and maintaining electrical plant equipment

* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
