I am working with Groundworks Contractor who are looking to appoint a Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to their team. They are currently outsourcing this function and are looking to bring it in house. 
Role Description: 
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Groundworks Estimator/Quantity Surveyor based in Plymouth. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Preparing accurate and timely estimates for construction projects
Collaborating with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet all project requirements
Managing project costs, preparing reports, and assisting with project planning and scheduling
Daily tasks including cost control, budget management, preparing bills of quantities (BOQ), cost reporting, and cost planningQualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in groundworks
Proven experience in cost control, cost management, and cost reporting
Ability to prepare bills of quantities (BOQ) and cost planning
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proficiency in relevant software programs, such as Excel and specialist measurement software
Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and regulations
