Position: Year 4 Teaching Assistant (Full Time)
Location: Kirkby
Start Date: Thursday 10th October

About the Role:
An inclusive and supportive primary school in Kirkby is seeking a full-time Year 4 Teaching Assistant to join their team from Thursday 10th October. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant learning environment, providing essential support to students in a well-respected school known for its commitment to educational excellence and student development.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to assist in delivering high-quality lessons, supporting individual students, and contributing to the overall well-being of the pupils. The role will focus on fostering a positive and engaging classroom environment that aligns with the school's values and commitment to pupil progress.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, effective lessons.
Working with small groups or individual students to provide targeted interventions and support.
Assisting in the preparation of classroom resources and materials.
Supporting children with additional needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
Promoting a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
Supervising students during break times and other school activities.
Helping maintain an organised, safe, and stimulating learning environment.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in Key Stage 2 (KS2), is preferred.
A positive, enthusiastic attitude towards helping children learn and grow.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3) is desirable but not essential.
Experience or understanding of working with SEN students is beneficial.
A strong understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children.
