Job Title: Senior/Principal Electrical Design Engineer (Building Services)

Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed design calculations and create sketches as required by project specifications.
Apply technical engineering knowledge to develop design solutions.
Collaborate with Senior Engineers and Technicians on design and drawing tasks.
Assist in surveys, design, specification, and contract administration.
Engage in feasibility studies, concept, and scheme design stages.
Attend and contribute to design team meetings.
Inspect and report on electrical building services systems.
Use specialised software for Building Services calculations.
Ensure designs comply with legislative and health and safety standards.
Produce and mark up drawings for CAD design or direct CAD design drawings.
Select and specify appropriate products, equipment, and standards for Electrical services.
Key Skills/Attributes & Experience:

Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
Eligibility for Incorporated Engineer status with IET or CIBSE.
Proficiency in designing electrical systems from concept to detailed design stages (BSRIA BG6 Stage 4A).
Experience with low voltage electrical distribution, lighting, small power, fixed power, fire alarm and detection, ICT structured cabling, and cable containment.
Skilled in the use of Amtech and AutoCAD.
Understanding of Building Regulations Part L compliance.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant technical software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
