We are seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator to join a well-established manufacturing business in Carlisle.

Our client has been established for over 150 years and produce some excellent products that are distributed across the world. Their products are highly tested, and they have a fully equipped R&D facility allowing them to work with the latest technology and offer solutions to their clients that others cannot.

As a Welder Fabricator you will have a strong background in manufacturing, with the ability to read blueprints, interpret specifications, and produce high-quality metal products. You will be responsible for performing welding tasks, fabricating components, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Welding and Fabrication:
Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel components ranging from 2mm - 20mm.
Fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications and blueprints.
Quality Control:
Inspect completed work for quality and adherence to specifications.
Conduct tests and inspections of welded joints to ensure structural integrity.
Maintenance and Repair:
Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment.
Repair damaged or defective components as needed.
Operation of Other Machinery:
Plasma, Press-brake & Guillotine 
Qualifications and Skills Required:

Qualified to level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject
Proven experience in a similar role
Proficient in MIG and TIG Welding
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a teamBenefits:

Basic Salary up to £40k + Overtime
Standard working week on days, 39 hours per week with an early finish on Fridays
