Our client, a prominent entity in the defence and Nuclear sector, is currently seeking an Electronics Engineer to join their team on a contractual basis. This role is integral to supporting various high-stakes and cutting-edge projects, primarily involving hardware engineering and safety-regulated systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the electronic engineering aspects of projects
Applying appropriate electronic engineering practice on projects
Generating and maintaining high-quality electronic documentation and gaining formal review approval for release
Using electronic engineering tools for design simulations, calculations, etc.
Supporting representations of project electronic engineering to the project or customer community
Supporting other engineering or related disciplines as required, e.g., production or test
Performing any other relevant duties as required

Job Requirements:

HND/Degree (or equivalent experience) qualified engineer, preferably in an engineering discipline
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with membership (or working towards membership) of a relevant institution would be an advantage
Experience of engineering in a safety regulated industry
A knowledge of safety system design in accordance with IEC 61508 or similar safety standards (IEC 61513, IEC 61226) would be advantageous
Good knowledge of systems engineering processes, standards, and methodologies (e.g., IEC 15288, UML)
Experience in using Altium, LTSpice, and MathCAD would be an advantage
Able to attain UKSV SC security clearance
