Successful manufacturer require a Stores Team Leader. Applicants should have experience within a Stores or Warehouse environment, posses leadership skills and knowledge of goods receipt, inventory/stock control and kiting processes.
The Stores Team leader will be responsible for mentoring and motivating a small team, supporting management in the implementation of LEAN process and providing the business an effective stores management, stock control and kitting function.
Specific duties of the Stores Team Leader entail:
Lead, motivate and develop stores across warehouse, stock control and goods receipt tasks
Lead stock take, perpetual inventory, stock profiling and cycle count activities whilst investigating discrepancies
Be responsible for issuing Kanban cards to suppliers
Ensure production line is fed with appropriate level of materials to meet production plans
Drive a culture of continuous improvement and LEAN thinking
Stores Team Leader applicants should meet the following criteria:
Previous experience in a Stores or Warehouse
Leadership skills and abilities
IT skills in relation to managing stock and inventory levels
Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering business would be advantageous
Knowledge of LEAN processes around stores, warehousing and stock/inventory control is desirable
