Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Communications Officer to join Cheshire East Council's Internal Communications Team on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Duties:
* Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans.
* Create and deliver engaging content across multiple platforms.
* Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of communication activities.
* Support and deliver communication activities for programmes or associated projects.
* Build strong relationships within the council’s communications team, its customers and with a range of partners and stakeholders.
* Communicate change, employee engagement, and organisational culture change effectively.
* Manage external relations and media when delivering your communication plans and activities.
Key Skills and Experience:
* Self-starter with a curious mindset and a commitment to personal development.
* Team player who is dependable, enthusiastic, and innovative.
* Proven track record of quality, creative, and effective communication work.
* Excellent copywriting, creative, planning, and influencing skills.
* Experience in delivering successful communications that support and drive understanding and adoption of change.
* Ability to engage and influence a range of audiences through internal and external channels.
* Experience in advising, influencing and challenging colleagues and service delivery partners at all levels on their communications objectives and requirements.
