We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Responsible Individual to join a dynamic children’s service in Manchester on an interim basis.
This is a key leadership position within the team, overseeing the quality and safety of care provided to vulnerable children and young people.
As the Responsible Individual, you will ensure that all services comply with regulatory requirements, and deliver high standards of care in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day management of the children’s service, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and national standards.
Provide leadership and guidance to staff, ensuring best practice in the care and safeguarding of children and young people.
Act as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies, ensuring all inspections, audits, and reporting are carried out in a timely and effective manner.
Ensure policies and procedures are followed and maintain the highest standards of safeguarding.
Monitor and review service quality, making improvements where necessary to ensure positive outcomes for children.
Lead and manage the development of individual care plans, supporting the well-being and progress of the children in our care.
Work closely with local authorities, social workers, and external partners to ensure the best support for children and young people.
Provide reports on service performance to senior management and key stakeholders.Essential Requirements:
Proven experience as a Responsible Individual within children’s services or a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations and the children’s social care sector.
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build relationships with staff, children, families, and external partners.
A clear commitment to safeguarding and the well-being of children and young people.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, ensuring compliance and service delivery to the highest standard.Desirable Qualifications:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent.
