Are you a passionate and dedicated English Teacher seeking an exciting opportunity to inspire and engage students in a dynamic secondary school? Our school, a well-established and 'Good' rated secondary school in Aylesbury, is looking for a talented individual to join their team from Easter 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4, with the potential for KS5
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement
Contribute to the development of the English department, participating in curriculum planning and collaborative teaching
Support students in preparing for GCSE exams, implementing targeted interventions where needed
Engage with parents, carers, and colleagues to ensure the holistic development of students
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK, desirable but not essential
A degree in English or a related subject
Proven track record of improving student outcomes in English
Strong classroom management skills and a passion for teaching
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Willingness to engage in professional development and contribute to wider school initiatives
