Senior/Account Director - Health Marketing Agency

Location: London (Hybrid)

Title: Account Director OR Senior Account Director

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (Ideally)

This brilliant agency are driven by building human connections through fantastic strategy and bold creative ideas, where they can me a difference to the world we live in.

We need a kick-ass Account or Senior Account Director who is self-motivated, loves the health space and wants to join a brilliant agency who are going through growth! (And winning awards in the processs)

Responsibilities and Duties

Communication -

* To facilitate excellent communication across all who work on your accounts to ensure consistency of approach and understanding, including clearly communicating roles and responsibilities within the team

* To be solutions focused, overcoming any challenges externally and internally.

* To manage regular client–agency review processes and obtain regular client feedback to better drive client service performance and delivery of creative and strategic marketing campaigns.

Client Relationships -

* To build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships that are viewed by both sides as a partnership

* To earn the clients’ trust and be a trusted advisor who they come to for guidance and advice, supporting on a strategic level to identify and drive projects and help solve their business challenges.

* To liaise with the primary client and other relevant client personnel e.g. medical advisers, to ensure full, 360 understanding of the brand and account and to lead your accounts autonomously, with regular support from the senior team

Business Development / Growth of Client Accounts.

* To actively seek opportunities for expanding accounts within existing clients

* To be an active driver of new business opportunities with new clients, through pitching, proposals and target identification

* To act as an agency advocate, understanding and championing the agency’s philosophy

* To lead the development of presentations and proposals, including creds and pitch, presenting clearly and with confidence so that the clients feel in safe hands

* To take overall responsibility for progress, relationships and status of each of your accounts

Strategy -

* To demonstrate strategic leadership on your accounts, to partner with the client in developing their marketing and brand strategy

* To understand the agency and client strategic tools and processes, working closely with the agency leadership team

* To challenge client direction when it is not to be the right approach, with the help from the leadership team

* To take strategic ownership and ensure all work produced aligns to the brief and overall strategy

* To proactively look for opportunities to further support the strategy

Finance -

* To oversee and approve all job estimates/SOWs prior to sending to client

* To ensure estimates are approved by the client prior to commencing work (please refer to individual client policies on POs etc)

* To alert Managing Director to any change in specification that impacts on project costs and/or revenue

* To manage projects within the budget agreed

* To review timesheets and budgets to measure and improve profitability and recovery rates

* To provide accurate information for, and take responsibility for, financial planning, revenue forecasting, WIP reporting and timely invoicing

Creativity

* To work with the agency team to shape and develop compelling propositions and creative briefs, ensuring this is in line with the marketing objectives for the brand

* To critically assess and direct creative work through alignment to the brief and objectives

* To help drive innovation in digital creative solutions

Team development

* To be the key mentor and director of your team, holding regular team meetings and ensuring training needs are met

* To take an active role in mentoring junior members of the account service team

* To provide regular feedback throughout the course of ongoing projects

* To expose junior team members to aspects of your own role and responsibilities where appropriate, to increase understanding and encourage growth

* To conduct annual reviews for your direct reports, also providing regular, ongoing ad-hoc feedback to aid their development
