Your Day to day duties in the role
You will be involved in mig and tig welding and fabrication of components.
Experience/Skills and Education Requirements
Desirable:
* Welding Carbon Steel from 6mm up to 150mm
* Heavy plate Mig welding experience is critical, some of our machined joints at take up to 60 weld passes over a distance of 3m
* Tig welding experience beneficial
* Working to strict WPS under close supervision
* Coded to BS EN 9606
* Using overhead crane
* All work produced is to be capable of passing UT, MPI and visual inspection
* Grinding, Gouging, and Polishing
* Knowledge of pre-heating methods
* Will display knowledge of preparing root welds with ceramic backing
* Will be required to undertake and pass a security background check
* Any other ad hoc duties as may be required and as are commensurate with the grade of the post
Hours of work
* The role is on days
* The work is on a permanent basis
* 4 days per week. Monday to Thursday.
Salary and Benefits
* Rate is £17.30
