Cova Security Gates, a UK based designer and manufacturer of perimeter security equipment, is up scaling it’s manufacturing capacity as a result of recent growth. We are therefore looking for a production operative to join our growing team.

Must have:

* Must hold full clean Driver’s licence

* Experience in manufacturing would be preferred

Responsibilities:

The Production Operative will be responsible for assisting in the handling of the production materials from goods-in and the packaging of goods for dispatch. This will also include the assistance with facilities maintenance, supporting all departments within the manufacturing process.

Main Job Specific Duties:

* Maintain accurate and up to date, Goods-in/out records and ensure all items are checked-in at time of receiving

* Packing/loading/dispatching of completed production products and service items

* Maintaining the H&S machine start up checks and flagging of any faults via system

* Assisting in maintaining stock levels and safely storing away of all received stock items

* Assisting in maintaining a clear and tidy production workspace and yard

* Reporting of any H&S issues found around the production area and premises

* Any driving duties that are required

* Assisting the Fabrication, Fitting and Electrical department where necessary

General Duties:

* Ensure the compliance of company procedures, such as Health and Safety; Environmental; Quality and Legal Compliance for all areas under your direct control

* Housekeeping - all elements including premises, people, equipment and vehicles to the highest possible standard in order to maintain a professional image

* Display a proactive, can-do attitude within the organisation, with a culture of right first time and ownership of problems

* Recommend resources and training, to ensure that the organisation can meet future demands from its customers

* Clearly and concisely communicate with other stakeholder(s) in an appropriate medium and timely manner

* Willingly carry out other duties deemed appropriate by the company
