Senior Cost Estimator
Hertfordshire (Flexible Hybrid 50%)
Circa £50,000 - £55,000 + Bonus / Package + Generous Pension

This is fantastic opportunity to join an international market leading technology business based in Hertfordshire.

The business is known for its people first approach to staff development / welfare and as such has received numerous awards and recognition consistently over many years.
This role sits within the wider Finance and Commercial functions working with cutting edge technologies and research and development projects as a cost modeller where you will influence the direction of product development working in close partnership with the design, manufacturing and engineering functions.

We are looking for the following skills sets / experience:
* You will likely have worked within a manufacturing, engineering or technology business.
* You will have previous experience of costing, cost estimating, costing techniques, costing methodologies or similar.
* Naturally you will have strong numerical and analytical skills.
* You will be comfortable working with data and have advanced Excel skills.
* Workings alongside manufacturing / technology / engineering colleague you will possess excellent business partnering skills and be able to form trusting relationships across all levels across the organisation.
* Knowledge of cost estimating techniques and methodologies such as parametrics would be advantageous but is not essential

Beyond the above the role will have a broad scope to include - Working as part of a collaborative cost modelling teams, partnering bid and sales teams to assist in cost estimates, pricing and other commercial considerations, applying cost modelling techniques to set target costs for long-term projects, partnering engineering and project teams to understand scope of work and to ensure this is appropriately reflected in the costings and inputting into long-term budgeting.
