Contek Recruitment are currently working with a well-known engineering company who specialise in world class manufacturing of gaskets, seals and sealing technology solutions to companies worldwide; spanning many specialist industry sectors, including Aerospace, Marine, Medical, Defence, Nuclear, and more.

Due to growth, they are now recruiting for a CNC Turner to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

NOTE: This isn't your typical CNC turning position, this role will not involve machining of metals, however will in fact involve machining a material called PTFE, which is used in the harshest environments. It’s capable of withstanding corrosive chemicals, within working temperatures from 260℃ to -200 ℃. It’s highly durable and low friction, it is also non-stick.

The typical products that they machine are PTFE envelopes for use within the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Including Bellows, Valve seats, Chevrons, Washers, Static Mixers, bearing housings, Wedge seals, Tri-clovers, Bushes, diaphragms and seals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Programming, setting, and operating a range of Doosan lathes, with all programming done using Fanuc controls.

* Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to produce high-quality parts.

* Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.

* Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.

* Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Requirements:

* Proven experience within CNC turning is required.

* Proven experience programming using Fanuc controls is desirable.

* Strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications.

* Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday (07:30 AM until 16:00 PM) and Friday (07:30 AM until 16:00 PM)
