Role: Management Accountant - 12 month contract

Job Description:
We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our client’s finance team in Loughborough for a maternity cover position. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be a vital contributor, responsible for delivering accurate and timely management accounts to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare monthly management accounts for submission to the Board of Directors

* Conduct analytical reviews of financial data and present findings to the management team

* Collaborate with external auditors to produce annual statutory accounts

* Collate weekly and monthly payroll data for submission to a third-party payroll provider

* Develop and enhance financial controls and procedures

* Maintain and reconcile the balance sheet, including fixed asset registers

* Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and annual P11Ds and PSA returns to HMRC

* Conduct monthly cost centre reviews

* Provide support to the Financial Controller as required

Experience Required:
Essential:

* Recognized UK Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)

* 2-3 years of recent experience in a similar role

* Proficient in Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and formulas

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to meet tight deadlines

* Excellent organizational skills

Desirable:

* Experience with Dynamics 365
