THE BUSINESS
Our client specialises in joinery within commercial sectors, mainly supplying office fit outs and improvements. This encapsulates products such as reception area, desks, display features, screens, seating areas, etc. They currently employ around 70 staff and have a turnover of £16m. They supply the top end of the market providing luxurious, modern office fittings that are stylish and ergonomically friendly.
Westray Recruitment Group is seeking to recruit a Goods in Stores Person to work on a permanent basis from day one for our client based in the Teesside area.
THE ROLE
Receiving goods in
Allocating stock into stores
Completing paperwork and tagging systems for stock traceability
Manually entering codes into the system
Completing delivery notes
Assigning stock job numbers
Creating pick sheets and picking stock to aid the creation of production-based joinery build kits
Working to improve layouts
Liaising with procurement to order new materials and ensure stock availability to aid production
Perpetual stock takes
Operating counter balance FLT’s to aid the goods in process
THE PERSON
Joinery knowledge preferred but not essential
Operating a stores role within a busy engineering workshop or manufacturing business is essential
Counter balance FLT certificate preferred
Computer literacy
Able to work with accuracy and have strong organisational skills
Natural ability to proud of the work area and keep it clean & tidy
Strong team working skills and communication skills to liaise with other departments to ensure stock availability
