Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Contract Manager to report to an Operations Director. You will be responsible for the contract delivery for day to day activities and workload including support and development of contract delivery team.

About the Role:

The Contract Manager is responsible for works predominantly on our Commercial Gas Service and Maintenance contracts - from initial breakdowns and servicing, right through to the final invoice submission. The role is focused on providing value for money while adhering to strict regulations which govern every aspect of the Gas industry.

You will be a good communicator and possess excellent numeracy skills to handle the financial and mathematical demands of the role. Given the demands of the Gas world and its frequent challenges, you will be able to demonstrate innovative approaches to problem solving and an ability to negotiate across the various levels. You will be a visionary and possess a strategic thought process.

Location: Head Office in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire (+ hybrid working potential)

Hours: Monday to Friday – 40 Hours per week, 8am-5pm

Main Duties and Responsibilities

* Liaising with internal/external stakeholders as well as developing and maintaining sound working relationships

* Oversee and assist the team of contract coordinators to meet service delivery demands and the day to day running of the gas servicing and heating departments

* Identify work streams and prioritise workload, maintain high levels of service, whilst adhering to company workflows and processes and ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met

* Support and liaise with management throughout the business by providing analysis and reporting information

* Create quotations based on site surveys and information provided by engineers ensuring all items are communicated with external stakeholders

* Resolve technical problems/communication with staff, analysing data, and identifying solutions

* Provide an investigatory role, responding to incidents, notices, concerns and queries

* Maintain contract KPIs and quality standards of the company by installing efficiently and safely with a high-quality finish.

* Liaise with residents and clients as and when required about the works being undertaken

* To stay up to date with all gas safety legislation and codes of practice involving your given discipline

* Carry out all reporting of variations to any works and updating administration department of changes to requirements on site

* Liaison with all other engineers and staff to ensure targets are reached, liaising with electrical departments and other building works on any given installation.

* Oversee any other trades in relation to works

* Contract management to include the mobilisation, ensuring they are generating revenue whilst adhering to specific terms

* Strategic management and planning, by Identify areas of the business that require improvement and implement plans

Experience, skills and qualifications required for the role:

* 5 Years of industry experience and 2 years of experience at management level

* Experience of working within the Social Housing sector on commercial gas/renewable maintenance contracts

* Experience of contract tendering, mobilisation and delivery

* General competence in the given trade, COCN1, CODNCO1, TCP1a

* Unvented hot water systems would be advantageous
