Job Title: Import Customs Clearance Operator

Location: Witham, Essex
Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Hours: Mon - Fri 8:30am - 17:00pm

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Import Customs Clearance Operator to join our dynamic team at a leading freight forwarding group based in Witham. If you have experience in customs clearance and a passion for logistics, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your career with an industry leader.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the import customs clearance process for a variety of clients.
Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and maintain accurate records.
Prepare and submit import documentation and customs entries via the CDS system.
Liaise with customs authorities, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
Provide excellent customer service by updating clients on shipment statuses and resolving issues promptly.
Keep up to date with changes in import/export regulations and customs procedures.Required Skills & Experience:

Previous experience in import customs clearance, ideally within a freight forwarding or logistics environment.
In-depth knowledge of HMRC regulations and customs procedures.
Proficiency with the CDS system and other relevant software.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
A proactive, can-do attitude and a desire to deliver exceptional service.Benefits:
