Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Basingstoke
Salary: Day rate – competitive

We are working with a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor who is looking to recruit a highly skilled and motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on an ongoing contract basis.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting and high-profile projects, with a focus on delivering high-quality results within time and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

* Independent Working: Ability to manage and execute tasks independently, ensuring efficient delivery of assigned responsibilities.

* Experience with NH: Proven track record of working with NH (New Housing/Network Housing) projects and processes.

* CEMAR Familiarity: Strong understanding and practical experience of using CEMAR (Contract and Event Management software).

* CVR Production: Capable of producing accurate and detailed Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports.

* Experience in Pricing CEs: Ideally, experience in pricing works for Compensation Events (CEs), ensuring proper documentation and compliance.

* Subcontract Administration: Extensive experience in administering subcontracts, including managing relationships and ensuring contractual obligations are met.

Key Skills & Experience:

* Proven experience within the construction industry, preferably with a Tier 1 contractor.

* Excellent knowledge of project management systems, particularly CEMAR.

* Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

* Solid experience in cost reporting, including CVRs and pricing CEs.

* A thorough understanding of subcontract administration and working with external parties.

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications:

* Relevant qualifications in construction or project management (e.g., HNC, HND, or degree).

* Previous experience with a Tier 1 contractor or major project exposure would be advantageous.
