Urban Designer / Masterplanner

A leading built environment consultancy is seeking an Urban Designer / Masterplanner with a passion for creating high-quality, lasting places that foster community and well-being. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a variety of landscape masterplans, urban design projects, design codes, and strategic masterplanning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Develop masterplans and detailed designs for projects across the South and Home Counties.
Produce feasibility reports, access statements, and outline master planning documents.
Provide architectural, regeneration, and urban design services to a diverse client base.
Review and enhance existing developments, offering strategic design advice.
Create hand-drawn and digital designs for client presentations.
Liaise regularly with stakeholders, clients, and project teams.
Support and mentor junior team members while managing small to mid-scale projects.

Skills & Experience

Degree or professional qualification in Planning and/or Urban Design.
Recent and relevant experience in planning and urban design.
Strong technical ability in planning and urban design work.
Experience dealing with local planning authorities.
A keen eye for landscape, architectural design, and master planning.
Excellent communication skills to bridge client requirements with project teams.
