TIG/MIG Welder Fabricator - Leicester

Location: Thurmaston, Leicester
Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30 | Friday: 07:30 – 12:00
Overtime: Available at x1.5 hourly rate

About the Role:

Our client, a specialist in metal pressing, precision toolmaking, and other metalworking services based in Leicester, is looking to expand their team due to increased workloads. They are recruiting for a TIG/MIG Welder Fabricator with the opportunity for career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

TIG and MIG welding of mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
Reading and interpreting welding and fabrication drawings
Marking out, sawing, drilling, shearing, and fettling
Ensuring safe working practices are followed
Assisting with other tasks as requested by management

Essential Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in TIG and MIG welding (mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium)
Experience in metal fabrication
Ability to work from engineering drawings
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision

Desirable Skills (Not Essential):

Experience programming robotic welding cells
Experience in laser welding
