Generator Maintenance Engineer
Location: Glasgow
Salary: £35k

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Generator Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving issues with diesel generator sets, performing maintenance, and completing servicing tasks. This role requires both electrical and mechanical expertise to ensure the continued efficiency and reliability of customer equipment.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform thorough diagnostic checks to identify faults in diesel generator systems.
Address electrical and mechanical issues, replacing components as needed.
Conduct routine maintenance and servicing on generators at customer sites.
Execute repairs and load testing to ensure equipment functionality.
Upgrade control panels and complete panel modifications when necessary.
Respond to breakdowns and perform on-site repairs efficiently.
Participate in site assessments and surveys when required.
Be part of the on-call rota to provide emergency support.
Maintain accurate records, including service reports and timesheets.
Ensure the service van is stocked appropriately and kept organized.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Contribute to maintaining ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) through quality practices.
Support continuous improvement initiatives as part of our team values.
Be flexible to work overtime or travel as necessary. Required Skills and Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in generator maintenance and fault diagnosis.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Full UK driving license is essential.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
ECS/CSCS certification.
Up-to-date DBS/Disclosure Scotland clearance.
Proficiency in working at heights and manual handling.
Awareness of asbestos safety protocols. Personal Attributes:
