Mechanical Assembler

The Company

A leading engineering company that specialises in the design and manufacture of advanced breaking systems and all associated accessories.

The Role

The Mechanical Assembler will assemble component parts to make up finished assemblies in compliance with in house and customer specifications.

The work will include the following:

Establish assembly operations from parts list, working instructions and drawings.

Assemble and test products to specification, referring to working instructions and drawings, using air gun and spanners, paying particular attention to cleanliness of parts.

Provide support for requirements of ISO 9001.

Operate overhead travelling gantry crane and provide correct slinging procedure to load and transport large items.

The Candidate

To apply for this role, you must have

1. Experience working to engineering drawings and work instructions

2. Experience building assemblies

3. Experience with manual handling machinery (FLT / Gantry crane)

4. Good manual dexterity

5. Previous experience within a similar assembly environment
