We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team, working within Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) and Alternative Provisions. In this role, you will provide essential support to students, focusing on behaviour management and academic studies.
Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored support to students, helping them engage with their learning and manage their behaviour effectively.
Assist in delivering individualised academic support to ensure progress in core subjects.
Build strong, trusting relationships with students to foster a positive and productive learning environment.
Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to implement behaviour strategies and support plans.
Act as a positive role model, demonstrating resilience, empathy, and a commitment to the students' development.Essential Requirements
An enhanced DBS check for the child workforce on the update service (or willingness to apply).
Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within Schools, Youth Work, Residential or similar settings.
A strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
Patience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to supporting challenging behaviour and diverse learning needs.What We Offer
