Business Support Manager

About the Role
We’re looking for a highly organized and proactive Business Support Manager to join our growing team in Taunton. This key role ensures smooth office operations while supporting various business functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and experienced in office management, basic bookkeeping, and administration.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Finance: Handle daily financial transactions using Sage 50, including invoicing, expense tracking, and reconciliations.
Fleet Management: Maintain up-to-date records for company vehicles, including servicing schedules, MOTs, and insurance documentation.
Staff Training Coordination: Organize and schedule employee training, ensuring certifications and records remain current.
Office Management: Oversee office operations, supplies, equipment maintenance, and filing systems.
System Design & Cost Estimation: Develop solar PV system designs and analyze costs for components, installation, and related expenses.
Sales & Tenders: Prepare detailed sales proposals, bids, and tender documents tailored to client needs.
Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain records and documentation to support company policies.
Team Communication: Serve as the central contact for office-related inquiries, ensuring efficient communication.
HR Administration: Support HR functions, including managing holiday requests, sickness records, and employee onboarding.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiency-enhancing improvements to office systems and workflows.
Administrative Support: Assist other group companies with administrative tasks as needed.
Office Expenses & Utilities: Manage office rates and utility accounts, ensuring accurate records and timely payments.
Operations Support: Arrange staff accommodations as required.What You Bring
Proven experience in a business support, office management, or similar role.
Proficiency in Sage 50 or similar accounting software.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
