Pickerings Lifts is a national, well established, privately owned, independent, leading lift specialist with 170 years’ experience. Due to continued success and growth, we require a Lift Maintenance & Callout Engineer to cover Merseyside & North Wales.

The successful candidates will have experience working with all types of lifts and controller manufactures, as well as the ability to think critically and creatively. A qualification to NVQ3 or equivalent is required.

Main duties will include

* Carry out routine servicing, call outs and minor repairs, within a service route area, on all types of electrical and hydraulic goods, passenger and service lifts.

* Efficiently complete maintenance schedules in accordance with agreed Service Contracts

* Complete worksheets using company and customer systems.

* Participate in an out of hours on-call rota.

* Conform to and utilise best practice within Health and Safety at all times.

Person Specification

* Qualified to or above NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a lift maintenance

* Previous Lift experience essential

* Be self-motivated, have great customer service skills and have the ability to show a high standard of workmanship whilst working under minimum supervision

* Must hold a valid driving licence

* DBS Checks will be carried out due to the nature of some of our customer sites.

* Some computer knowledge – as you will be required to use customer log on systems and company electronic devices

* Willing and able to work as a team & participate in call out rota

* Good communication skills are required
