We have an exciting opportunity for an eager and enthusiastic HR Advisor to join our busy HR team in Nottingham, to cover a period of maternity leave for 12 months. We are looking for someone who wants to build broad experience within the wider HR function as you will play a pivotal role within the team, supporting and advising managers on a full range of HR services such as; interpretation and implementation of policies and procedures, performance management, staff development, succession planning and employee relations.

What you will be doing:

* Advising managers on a full range of HR services, including but not limited to; interpretation and implementation of policies and procedures, performance management, staff development, succession planning and employee relations

* Supporting with conducting investigations, disciplinaries and grievances, ensuring legal compliance along with meeting Company best practice standards

* Managing staff relationships, responding to queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations

* Updating and maintaining the HR system

* Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems, policies and procedures, to drive business performance

* Analyse data and produce reports on HR statistics

* Any other legal duties required to meet the needs of the business

* Undertake administrative tasks for the complete employee life cycle and an ad-hoc basis, including but not limited to; logging absence, creating new employee records, sending probation, promotion, pay increase letters, calculating holidays, etc

What we’re looking for:

* Previous experience working in a HR Advisory role; advising and working alongside a range of stakeholders at all levels

* Currently pursuing an academic and/or professional HR qualification, such as level 5 CIPD, or evidenced work experience

* Demonstrable experience supporting with employee relations and casework

* Sound knowledge of employment law and best practice

* Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel

* Passionate about HR and keen to learn and develop your experience

* Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload

* Meticulous with excellent attention to detail

* Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality and the importance of utmost discretion

* Intellectually curious and keen to take on new challenges
