This well-established business, based in Derbyshire, are market leaders in their field, seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to support the efficient operation of the accounts department.

Your new role
This is a varied role. You will work within the finance team by managing day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and assisting with financial reporting and analysis.

Assist with preparation of the monthly management accounts, including analysis and posting to ledgers
Calculation and analysis of accruals and prepayments
Analysis of invoices
Reconcile bank accounts and assign sales invoices
Intercompany postings and reconciliation
Maintain and reconcile the Fixed Assets register
Prepare/review weekly payment runs for approval
Assist with reviews of stock provisions
Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns
Provide information and analysis required for auditsWhat you'll need to succeed

AAT qualified /part-qualified accountant
Attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical and Excel skills
SAP systems knowledge
Experience working in a similar roleWhat you'll get in return
