You will be working for a manufacturing company in Swansea who are industry leaders in their field. This is an exciting opportunity to join the business as they are starting a period of growth, the business is well established in the market and you will be joining a great team as a maintenance engineer.
Your new role
The main purpose of your new role is to ensure that all machinery is effectively maintained through planned preventative maintenance and repaired in the event of an unscheduled breakdown. As well as carrying out any installation work as required. You will work on a Panama shift pattern - a mixture of both days/nights.
Some of your duties will include but are not limited to:
Carry out preventative planned maintenance
Support with breakdown of machinery in a timely manner
Ensure that administrative data such as logbooks, stores requisitions or information requested by Mechanical Team Lead are completed
Help support with continuous improvement.
Assist with installation of new equipment as required
Adhere to all health and safety requirements
Support contactors and other engineers on site
What you'll need to succeed
Be an apprenticeship trained Maintenance Engineer
Have 5 plus years experience in a maintenance role
Be multi-skilled with a mechanical bias
Be a strong team player
Strong decision-making skills
Good communication skills
Have the ability to work at different shift times
Good understanding of plant machinery and equipment
