Position: Lead Proposals Engineer
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + 10% bonus
  
Role Summary
  
As a Lead Proposals Engineer, you’ll lead the development and submission of competitive, tailored tenders in response to customer needs. Working closely with internal teams and suppliers, you’ll provide cost-effective solutions and technical insights to support business growth.
  
Key Responsibilities

Produce timely, accurate tender documents that meet customer requirements. Offer innovative, cost-effective solutions, outlining costs, timing, and resource needs.
Conduct site visits and collaborate with Sales Managers to review potential projects and prioritize customer quotes.
Coordinate resources across departments and ensure accurate cost estimates with purchasing and technical teams.
Build and maintain strong relationships, addressing customer needs and specifications to secure future business.
Ensure the scope of awarded projects is clearly defined and executed, working closely with project teams. Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel; logical, systematic approach to tasks.
Desirable: Familiarity with SAP or CRM tools; project planning.
Essential: Process/capital plant experience, mechanical engineering knowledge, proposal development, and presentation skills.
Desirable: Paint plant, automotive industry, or related field experience; ability to interpret GA/layout drawings (AutoCAD/Visio). Qualifications and Experience

Essential: Relevant qualification in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
Desirable: Degree in engineering. Key Competencies

Strong grasp of T&Cs, financial factors, and influencing skills.
Ability to develop creative, practical solutions for customer needs.
