CNC Turning - Job Role:
We are a market leader in the manufacture of low-volume, high-quality, tubular and threaded components for various sectors, including Aerospace, F1, Oil and gas, and Defense industries. experienced CNC Turner with CNC Machining knowledge to join our Engineering team on a full-time, permanent basis.
experienced CNC Turner, with a passion for precision engineering, an excellent understanding of the turning process and can work to tight tolerances and surface finishes.
CNC Turning - Responsibilities
Proven time served experience in programming, setting and operating 2-axis turning machines.
Ability to write new CNC programs long hand at the machine with little or no supervision.
Experience programming using ‘Manual Guide i’ software.
Experience programming using G codes.
Also, editing prewritten programs, the full machine setup including material, tooling, speeds, and feeds.
Carry out in-process inspection using measuring equipment.
Producing one-off, as well as low to medium-volume precision parts in a range of hard and soft metals.
Excellent working knowledge of 2-axis CNC machines, cutting speeds and feeds, and geometric tolerances.
Solid understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and standards.
Experience of Fanuc controls would be advantageous.
Have a strong working history within the manufacturing industry within a machine shop environment.
Have a hands-on, quality-driven, positive, self-motivated manner to be able to hit the ground running.
Confident in working on parts up to ¢300mm x 3m in length, using the lifting equipment provided as some of our work can be large. Hoist training will also be provided.

Remuneration: £40,000 to £51,000 per annum
Hours: 42.5 Hours
