Warehouse Picker / Assistant – Havant – £11.44 - £11.68 per hour

We’re recruiting for a Warehouse Picker / Assistant on behalf of a global manufacturing company to join them at their site in Havant, on the outskirts of Portsmouth. You will report to the Warehouse Manager and play a crucial role in picking and preparing products for shipping. You will have forklift truck experience and previous experience in a warehouse. This is a good opportunity to join a growing company with an excellent reputation in their field.

Responsibilities

The role of Warehouse Picker / Assistant will have the following responsibilities:

* Order picking and packing

* Adhere to health and safety within the warehouse

* Inventory Management, reporting on low stock levels and stock takes

* Safe use of forklift trucks, order pickers and other warehouse machinery

* Quality control – help to ensure packaged items are undamaged before they are shipped out to customers

Requirements:

To be considered for the role of Warehouse Picker / Assistant you will ideally have the following:

* Previous experience in working in a warehouse environment

* Forklift truck experience and hold a license – either a counterbalance, order picker or narrow aisle forklift

* You will also have a strong attention to detail to prevent errors in picking and packing

Package

The successful candidate for the role of Warehouse Picker / Assistant will receive the following:

* Hourly rate between £11.44 - £11.68

* 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

* Potential for overtime

* Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am – 4:30pm
