Quest Employment are currently recruting for a Presh Shop Operator to Join our clients team based in Luton. The Person required needs to have relevent experience as scripted below.

The shift will be Monday to Thursday - Friday half day

Main purpose of the role:
To produce precision machined components on CNC Machines and ultimately be responsible for the set up and operation of 4 & 5 Axis CNC Machines for production.

Scope of the role:

A general overview of how wide and broad the levels of responsibility run within and across departments as well as across the company. This can be important in outlining the limits of a role’s direct responsibility.

Primary Objectives:
•Competently set and operate 4 & 5 Axis Amada, Adira press brake machines
•Working to tight tolerances and in process measurements
•Loading and unloading of CNC machine tools
•Working to process with no deviation
•Quality control, working to customer / order specification
•Able to convert CAD into finished parts components

Primary measures of effectiveness
• These are the agreed KPI’s that measure effective delivery of the role’s primary objectives.
• There may be one KPI representing more than one Primary objective.
• It is important that the KPI’s are within the capacity of the role holder to achieve.
• The knowledge, skills and experience to achieve these objectives should be defined (see appropriate section) and training / development supported where gaps are identified or expectations evolve over time

Qualifications – Skills – Experience required for the role
•Knowledge of using 4 & 5 Axis machines
•Previous experience of press brake machines, guillotines and box pan folding
•Experience of Amada & Cybelec control system(s) – desirable
•Understanding of component drawings
