The Role:

As a Junior Trader, you’ll assist in buying and selling fresh produce, supporting customer programmes, and learning how to negotiate with suppliers and customers to maximise profit. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be trained in the trading process and develop key commercial skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Liaison – Build and manage relationships with food service businesses, wholesalers, and B2B clients.
Order & Stock Management – Create orders, manage stock levels, and ensure inventory accuracy.
Delivery Coordination – Work with logistics to ensure timely and quality deliveries.
Programme Management – Oversee customer programmes, ensuring contracted volumes are met.
Administrative Support – Manage purchase orders, invoicing, and transaction records.
Internal Collaboration – Work with commercial and operations teams to resolve issues and maintain smooth processes.
Daily Trading Support – Assist the commercial team with purchases, sales, and programme updates.
Customer Issue Resolution – Handle customer queries and problems promptly and professionally.
