Job Summary:

We are urgently seeking an Operative to support our daily operations and workshop tasks. This role involves maintaining a clean and safe yard, ensuring health and safety compliance, and assisting with stock management and equipment maintenance.

Operational Duties:

Maintain a clean, safe yard; report any risks to operations management.
Promote and enforce Health and Safety standards.
Assist in checking and maintaining stock levels.
Service, inspect, and maintain equipment.
Prepare and pick equipment as requested.
Secure loads using ratchet straps; ensure trailers comply with VOSA requirements.
Admin Duties:

Adhere to yard procedures, including truck labelling.
Complete procedures for near misses, accidents, damages, and load lists.
Notify management of unreturned items, stock shortages, and required consumables.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain Health & Safety awareness.
Improve processes in line with company standards.
Ensure First Aid equipment and Personal Protective Clothing are available.
Report any defects in equipment or working conditions.
General Responsibilities:

Align with the company’s mission, vision, and policies.
Promote equality and anti-discriminatory practices.
Maintain quality standards and confidentiality.
Training and Development:

Participate in training and development as per the company’s plan.
Attend supervision sessions and annual personal reviews.
