Regional Health and Safety Advisor – Covering Cornwall with agile/home working and site visits
Want to spend more quality time with clients and less time dodging traffic hopping from site to site? This is the role for you! Reporting directly to the SHEQ Lead, you will be supporting health and safety across a variety of sites. The role involves a mix of working from home, the office, and travelling to sites in Cornwall, so you must have a full UK driver’s license and appreciate that some travel is involved but is not excessive. You should have a minimum of 1 year’s experience within a construction health and safety role and hold NEBOSH construction or similar, with a good understanding of relevant SHEQ legislation and industry standards.
Key Accountabilities
• Assist in the development and ongoing review of the Health and Safety of each site.
• Advise the site teams in the interpretation, guidance and advice on the application of the SHE management systems
• Undertake site inspections
• Provide support with the identification and management of SHE risks, issues and opportunities
Monitoring
• Check that non-compliance reports from both internal and external audits are being adequately closed out with all corrective actions completed.
• Review third-party Risk Assessments for quality and suitability to support the Asset Management team.
People
• Manage availability to the various sites to ensure that the right level of governance and support is provided.
• Align to current thinking on H&S practice and up-to-date knowledge on current SHE Legislation & Best Practice
• Proactive, engaging and positive attitude to the promotion of SHE excellence
Salary is up to £44,000 + car allowance depending on experience, with the ability to work flexibly and dedicate quality time to clients to support them on their safety journey
