Westwood Recruitment are seeking a skilled and experienced Civils Setting Out Engineer with a specialising in Reinforced Concrete for our client in South Wales. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the successful delivery of civil engineering projects, including the setting out and supervision of all site activities related to reinforced concrete structures. Projects range around Wales as well as Bristol and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

* Accurately set out all required works, including foundations, columns, beams, walls, slabs, and other reinforced concrete elements.

* Ensure that all structures are correctly aligned and meet the required levels and tolerances through precise levelling and surveying.

* Ensure all work adheres to industry standards, health and safety regulations, and project-specific quality requirements, overseeing the quality of the materials and workmanship.

* Liaise with subcontractors, the project team, and other stakeholders to manage the smooth flow of operations and resolve any on-site issues related to RC structures.

* Maintain accurate records of site activities, measurements, drawings, and progress reports, producing as-built drawings where required.

* Promote and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols on-site, ensuring that all safety policies are followed, especially in areas concerning heavy concrete works.

Skills and Qualifications:

* Proven experience in setting out and surveying within civil engineering projects, with a strong emphasis on reinforced concrete structures.

* Proficient in the use of setting out equipment (e.g., total stations, GPS, theodolites, and laser levels).

* Experience with AutoCAD and other relevant design or modelling software.

Certifications:

* CSCS card or equivalent

* SMSTS/SSSTS

* Bachelor's degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or related field preferred but not essential

* First Aid at Work certification (preferred)

* Driving license required due to travel between sites
