We are seeking a skilled Interaction Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping user experiences that are intuitive, engaging, and accessible.
 
Responsibilities:

Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions, ensuring that user insights are integrated into the design process.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other designers, to create user-centred design solutions that align with project goals.
Develop wireframes, prototypes, and interaction specifications that effectively communicate design concepts and facilitate stakeholder understanding.
Participate in the Government Digital Service (GDS) assessment process to ensure designs meet GDS standards and guidelines.
Leverage knowledge of government processes and services to design solutions that enhance user interactions with digital platforms, streamlining access to essential information and services.
Ensure all designs adhere to accessibility standards and best practises, making our services usable for all individuals, including those with disabilities.
Continuously iterate on designs based on feedback and changing user needs, fostering an environment of constant improvement.
As an Interaction Designer, your role will include involvement in GDS assessments. You will work closely with the assessment team to ensure that all designs comply with GDS principles, focusing on meeting the needs of users while adhering to government standards. Your insights will contribute to the successful navigation of the assessment process, ensuring that our digital products are of the highest quality and reliability. 
Qualifications:

Proven experience as an Interaction Designer or in a similar role, showcasing a strong portfolio that demonstrates your design process and impactful outcomes.
Familiarity with GDS assessment criteria and prior experience in government projects is an advantage.
Solid understanding of accessibility principles and a track record in designing inclusive user experiences.
Proficient in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar platforms.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale effectively to stakeholders
