New C / C++ Software Engineer - Linux Server job available in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

A leading and expanding wireless communications business based in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire are seeking a senior level C / C++ Software Engineer to support the continuous development and maintenance of Linux server applications using PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Apache. Optimising and customising Linux environments, leveraging the Yocto build system. You will play a key role in software coding for new R&D wireless products.

Skills and experience required:

* Good experience in Linux server development.

* Strong programming skills in C and C++ (C++17 and later).

* Experience with database design and implementation.

* Knowledge of Linux customisation and networking protocols.

Desirable Skills:

* Experience with Asterisk and related protocols (SIP, RTP, RCTP, WebRTC).

* SSL and certificate management.

* Docker, embedded software development, and mobile app development (Android/iOS).

* Familiarity with test-driven development, JIRA, and Git
