We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MOT Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for ensuring vehicles meet safety and environmental standards. As an MOT Tester, you will play a crucial role in maintaining road safety and compliance, working with various types of vehicles and utilising your expertise to perform thorough inspections.

Duties:

Conduct comprehensive MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Identify and diagnose mechanical issues, providing accurate assessments of vehicle condition.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and any recommendations for further work.
Communicate findings clearly to customers, providing advice on necessary repairs or maintenance.
Ensure the workshop environment is clean, organised, and safe for all staff and customers.
Stay updated with the latest regulations and best practices in vehicle testing and maintenance.

Requirements:

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance or repair.
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Valid MOT Tester certification is preferred but not essential; training may be provided for the right candidate.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday plus either every Saturday between 8am – 12pm or every other Saturday between 8am – 4pm.
