GSL Education are seeking a passionate and engaging English Teacher to join our team in Rotherham. This is a full-time role, perfect for an educator who can bring the English language to life, making reading, writing, and communication both accessible and enjoyable for students.

We are looking for someone who can create a dynamic and inspiring classroom environment, catering to students of all abilities and fostering a love for literature and language. If you have a talent for making learning interactive and meaningful, we would love to hear from you!

Duties of the Role:

Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to students of varying abilities.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning.
Develop students' reading, writing, and communication skills.
Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
Support students in achieving their academic goals and building confidence in their abilities.
Help students enjoy reading and thinking through fun discussions and activities. 
Work with other teachers to create and share great lesson ideas.
 Encourage students to express their ideas confidently in speaking and writing. 
Provide extra support to students who need help with their learning.
Candidate Expectations:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a degree in English or a related field.
Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 & KS4, KS5 desirable).
Strong subject knowledge of literature, grammar, and writing skills.
Excellent classroom management and the ability to engage students.
Passion for teaching and supporting student development.
Adaptable and creative in delivering lessons to diverse learners.
Strong communication skills for working with students, staff, and parents.

A full and update CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained) and an enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
