Head Dental Nurse - Full-Time Position (Mixed NHS & Private Clinic)
Location: Derby
Hours: Monday - Friday: 08:30 - 17:30, Tuesday: 09:30 - 18:30, Saturday: 08:30 - 13:30
Salary: Up to £14.50 per hour

We are looking for an experienced, dedicated, and proactive Head Dental Nurse to join our friendly and professional team at a well-established mixed NHS and private clinic in Derby. This is a full-time role with a varied and dynamic workload, offering a competitive salary of up to £14.50 per hour.

About the Role:
As the Head Dental Nurse, you will spend three days a week providing support in surgery, assisting our dental team in delivering excellent care to our patients. The other two days will be split between supporting the front-of-house team and assisting the practice manager in day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth running of the clinic. This position offers an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role while working in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist with a variety of dental procedures and provide excellent chairside support.

* Supervise, mentor, and train junior nurses, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.

* Work closely with the practice manager to help ensure the efficient running of the clinic.

* Support the front-of-house team with patient coordination and administrative tasks as required.

* Ensure infection control procedures are adhered to and maintain high standards of hygiene.

* Ensure accurate patient records are kept and contribute to maintaining a safe, effective, and welcoming environment for patients.

What We’re Looking For:

* A qualified and GDC registered dental nurse with proven experience in a similar role.

* Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team.

* Excellent communication and organizational skills.

* A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving practice efficiency.

* Ability to work well within a team and support colleagues across various departments.
