Our client is seeking a skilled Contract Estimator to join their team at a reputable Construction company in Potters Bar, London. As an Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in meticulously preparing time, cost, materials, and labor estimates, while collaborating closely with Project Managers and the Operations team to ensure the delivery of accurate cost estimates upheld to the highest ethical and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Research, source, negotiate, and obtain the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors

Act as the principal point of contact between the business and the Clients’ professional team throughout the tendering process

Liaise with internal and external designers to produce a design sufficiently advanced for pricing

Post-tender financial negotiations

Preparation of budget estimates/cost plans from early-stage design information, including developing as the scheme progresses

Present the tender to the Company Directors for approval to submit

Produce final tender documents for submission to the client

Undertake detailed tender management

Core Competence:

Knowledge of Estimating methods and techniques (Use of CAD)

Ability to forecast the cost of high-ticket, involved building developments

Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping

Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

Previous experience as an Estimator working within the Construction Sector

Job Type: Fixed term contract - Contract length: 12 months.
