Business Studies Teacher

Remedy are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Business Studies Teacher to join our successful department in Southend . The successful candidate will have a strong background in business and economics, and a passion for educating the next generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders.

Responsibilities for a Business Studies Teacher:

Plan, deliver and assess engaging and challenging Business Studies lessons in accordance with the National Curriculum and the school's schemes of work.

Teach students a range of business concepts, such as marketing, finance, accounting, and entrepreneurship, and provide them with practical skills that will support their future careers.

Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes learning, respect, and mutual support.

Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback on their academic performance.

Use a range of assessment methods to evaluate student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.

Contribute to the department's extracurricular activities, such as business clubs, enterprise competitions and school events.

Requirements for Business Studies Teacher:

A degree in Business Studies, Economics, or a related subject.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Relevant teaching experience in a secondary school setting, preferably within the UK.

A thorough understanding of the National Curriculum requirements for Business Studies, and the ability to design and deliver effective lesson plans in accordance with them.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to effectively engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.

A commitment to ongoing professional development, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental and school goals.
